Meet Nikki Rose

I am Nicolette Rose: a woman who loves to use her experiences in real life to create exciting characters, plots, and settings. Writing has always been my therapy from the time I was a blooming Middle Schooler with a big imagination until now, as a woman with dreams and fantasies that can only come true on paper. When I created my first novel, Behind the Mask, I wrote it in response to a few things that were bothering me. The primary event in my life was the end of my relationship that left me with a broken heart, the other being a frustration with mainstream romance novels. Most people who indulge in romance like to envision themselves in the story. I was afraid that my imagination had left me after the last book I'd read and realized the problem. The girl that was the object of affection in the novels I was reading was never described in a way that I would be. Women of every ethnicity, size and personality deserve to be represented as desirable. This is why I created my first character and decided to put her in a short story called "Behind the Mask". For years, it sat as a short story until I pulled it out of my "secret archives" and let a friend read it. She was so enthusiastic about it that I thought it was time to expand the story: that was a few years ago. I finally finished after months of struggle and writer's block. Now, I am proudly announcing the publishing of my second book, The Mask Revealed. Through this page, I hope to connect with my readers and the author community to achieve consistent growth as a writer and meet a host of those who enjoy reading fresh new ideas.
